It’s no secret that college students are always coming up with crazy stuff. But what happens when the college students in question are members of their school’s electronic computer engineering department? Well, you get a super fire extinguisher, that’s what.
Viet Tran and Seth Robertson have collaborated to bring the world its next greatest innovation in firefighting. Their extinguisher doesn’t use the goop fire extinguishing liquid or water. Instead, it blasts first with low frequency sound waves. This means that extinguishing fires will no longer be such messy and wasteful business.
Extinguishing fires with sound seems like something out of a science fiction novel or a comic book. But remember that smart phones were science fiction just 20 short years ago. Scientists like these smart young men are here to make the impossible, possible!
Since the device is so new, its still in the preliminary patent stage. But there’s no way this invention won’t take the world by storm.
