When someone gets their car stolen, it usually comes back much worse, if it even comes back at all.
But that’s not the case for Missouri resident Becky Schoenig, the owner of a brand new 2015 Ford Fusion, which was stolen from her on Monday, March 30th.
Unlike most cases, Schoenig’s car did come, after local resident Mick Sexton recognized the stolen vehicle and reported it to police, just not exactly the way it looked when it disappeared.
Instead, the Ford Fusion was quite decked out, with rims and an upgraded interior added.
“[The thieves] had spray-painted the rims, put details on the whole car. They were planning on tinting the windows.” she told ABC News.
While Schoenig did ultimately decide to get the vehicle restored to its original look, she posted a hilarious picture with it to social media, and had a sense of humor about the whole thing.
Luckily, this turned out well for Schoenig and her Ford Fusion, but not all victims of car jackings are quite so lucky.
