A Man Brings A Rake To The Beach. What He Does With It Will Blow Your Mind.

If you’re roaming the beaches of San Francisco and happen across some intricate designs in the sand, don’t worry, they’re not alien crop signs, it’s just the artwork of Andre Amador.

Amador doesn’t paint, sculpt, or draw like most artists. His art is more temporary yet so much larger.

The sand is his canvas, the tide- his eraser. With nothing but a rake, he scrapes along the wet sand left behind by low tide, making designs that would leave you in awe.

Some of his work can be bigger than 100,000 sq. ft.!

Consider yourself lucky if you ever stumble across one of his sets because they don’t last long. Since they never last, Andre Amador is often asked why he does it, in which he replies “The unanswerable question! Its fun. I get to be at the beach.”
