It’s summer time and that means things will be heating up in the northern hemisphere. The heat can be hard to bear sometimes. You get all sweaty, your skin burns, your clothes stick, and lethargy starts to kick in.
It’s a good thing we have air conditioning, otherwise some people wouldn’t make it. But not everyone has the funds to acquire an air conditioner let alone justify installing one to their electric bill.
If you’re one of those people, we’ve got good news for you. HouseholdHacker has created a way for us to make our own air conditioner which should only cost you about eight bucks!
All you need it a foam cooler, two dryer vents, a fan, and a couple of frozen bottles of water to fill the cooler with. The cooler shouldn’t cost much nor should the vents and chances are, you already have a fan lying around somewhere. Once you have all the parts, building is easy.
We always appreciate these simple hints and tricks from HouseholdHacker, but this one takes the cake. There’s nothing worse than a home in the summer without air conditioning.
