When travelling around the great outdoors, you may bump into the odd wildlife animal or two, but you don’t usually expect them to be hiding underground, unless they are a gopher or something of that nature. But when a Redditor’s friend saw something unusual he decided to take a closer look. This is what he saw.
At first it seemed like just an ordinary hole in the ground.
But wait, there’s more…
How did he get there?!
It turns out though, this deer (who may have been confused that it was burrowing season) got stuck underground by some unknown means, but thankfully the person who shot the photo also stopped to retrieve the deer safely from its underground hole.
While it’s nowhere near as tragic as the death of Bambi’s mother, and ultimately had a bit of a happy ending, it’s great to see people stop and caring enough for animals to rescue them from their own mistakes, especially a deer, which is probably a bit difficult to hoist up from the depths of the Earth.
