A man swimming in the Maldives ended up coming across a strange sight—a fish trying to swim with no body.
After a fisherman caught and gutted the fish, it was thrown back in the water where it amazingly survived and was able to swim away.
The footage was taken by a man that snorkeling in some shallow water when he came across this strange-looking little fellow—at first he though it was a regular fish and found himself very surprised when it was only half of one.
It’s a rare occurrence that a fish would be able to survive missing most of it’s body, but somehow this survivor was determined to live to swim another day.
Despite not getting very far, we have to give this fish some major kudos for making it as far as he did—especially when he would be missing a pair of fins. In this case, this little guy might be the only fish in the sea, or least one with only a head.
