This Family Escaped Sure Death And Have Their Pet Pig To Thank

You normally hear heroic tales like this of the family dog, but this time around the spotlight is on another family pet: the pig.

Ina Farler owns a pig named Lucky. One morning, Lucky began squealing earlier than usual, which immediately woke up her owners. Farler knew something was wrong.

“He started screaming,” she recalled. “He would jump down, run to the door and then jump back up on the bed and hit me really hard. I sat up to see what was wrong with him, because he usually doesn’t do that through the night. When I sat up, I realized the room was really smoky.”

With Lucky’s warnings and the help of their neighbor, Ina and her two grandchildren were able to escape their fiery trailer.

The flames were extinguished quickly but the contents within the trailer were gone. Yet their lives were saved and they have Lucky to thank for that. Good pig.
