Elementary schools across the country celebrate fire-prevention week by inviting a specialist for a presentation. At Blackburn elementary school, Sara Cioni invited her firefighter boyfriend Tony Cioni to her classroom to educate her students on fire prevention.
Tony decided to use this opportunity to ask Sara one of the most important questions she’d ever be asked in her life.
The presentation went smoothly up until the point where Tony asked Sara to dress up in a fireman’s protective suit for display. When Sara finished donning the suit, Tony asked her to take a tool he referred to as a fireman’s “special equipment” out of the pocket.
At first, there was nothing out of the ordinary inside the pocket. She pulled out some goggles and fire safety gloves. However, at the bottom of the pocket there was a small, delicate box that contained an engagement ring.
Due to the shock, it took Sara a few seconds to put two and two together. After her shock wore off, she decided to say yes to the proposal and marry Tony.
