Actor Harrison Ford, 72, was injured on Thursday after a vintage single-engine aircraft he was piloting lost power and crashed.
According to TMZ, he radioed air control to inform them his engine had failed. The plane crashed in Penmar Golf Course, just two blocks away from Santa Monica Municipal Airport where he took off.
Two doctors that were playing golf on the course were the first ones to come to his aide. The actor was conscious when paramedics arrived. The hospital that he was taken to has not been made public.
Update: Contrary to earlier reports, Ford only sustained minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
