An Elementary School Band Plays Led Zeppelin And Absolutely Crushes It

There’s no school like the old school, and someone is teaching these kids right.

This is the Louisville Leopard Percussionists, an ensemble formed in 1993 that, as the name implies, works primarily with percussion instruments.

The students, who are between 7 to 12-years-old, were filmed rehearsing the classic rock songs “Kashmir”, “The Ocean”, and “Immigrant” by Led Zeppelin. The instruments used are the xylophone, marimbas, vibraphone, congas, drum set, piano, bongos and timbales.

Saying that these songs are before their time is an understatement, it’s likely their parents were children when the songs first came out, but that didn’t stop these kids from rocking it with the attention and focus of professionals.
