Wolf packs. Deadly hunters, attacking in groups, wolves are not a creature you want to rub the wrong way. Even so, they are insanely loyal to the pack and often display signs of affection among each other.
If you’re part of the pack, they will love you, it doesn’t matter what species you are.
Anita has been socializing with a pack of wolves in the Polar Park in Norway since 2008. She recently had to leave for 2 months and the wolves definitely noticed.
When she returned, they were more than excited to greet her, jumping up and down, pouncing, licking her face. You can tell she left a goof impression on them.
In case there’s confusion as to why she opens her mouth as the wolves lick her face: It’s a social trait, a sign of affection and submission. It is how they greet and if she had closed her mouth or turned away it very likely can be taken as offense or disrespect.
