Brace yourselves, this one might hurt your brain.
Jesse Watters, known for Bill O’Reilly segment “Watters’ World”, approached your average young American college student at Jones Beach, Long Island, to ask some Memorial day trivia questions.
“Do you know why you’re off today?” Watter started.
“Why?” answered the girl in the shades.
Well, we’re off to a good start!
It only gets worse from there. These weren’t even challenging questions, the average person should be able to answer these even if they barely paid attention in history class. Most of this stuff we learn before attending college.
Who bombed Pearl Harbor, who did we fight against in the Civil War, what was the civil war about, who was the first president? All relatively easy questions, yet not one of them was answered correctly, at least not on the first try.
According to Watters, none of the correct answers were edited out, there was at least 10 minutes of this, and he approached the most stereotypical looking college students.
Just think, one of the students questioned could be running for office one day.
