The design of the door can be traced back to ancient times. Not much has changed with it throughout history, however a new design puts a literal “twist” on the way it opens and closes.
It’s a Klemens Torggler “Evolution” door and, instead of the usual pull and push you must perform to open most doors, one touch and it and the doors folds over to a closed or opened position.
The doors are kinetic objects based on rotating squares. With the rotating technology, you can open the doors sideways without relying on tracks. The door is currently a prototype but maybe we’ll see it in the future as the pioneer of new door design.
