Woman Posts This Online After Visiting Her Grandfather In A Va Nursing Home

It’s a sight not often seen. Two people, near the end of their lives, but still as in love as the day they met. For this couple, no obstacle could get in the way of their happiness.

Shelly Brown Huddleston posted a heartwarming video of her grandparents on Facebook, and it’s giving everyone goosebumps.

In her post, along with the touching video, Shelly wrote:

I took my grandmother to visit my grandfather in the VA nursing home today. He is blind and suffering from dementia. He was so happy to be with her he could not keep his hands off of her. They will celebrate their 75 wedding anniversary next week!”

Here’s the video that has gone viral.

You can hear the indistinct chattering of the couple. It’s hard to make out all the words, but you can tell they are filled with admiration and undying devotion. But nothing is sweeter when the couple goes in for a kiss. Their 75 years of marriage has not aged their relationship for one minute.

Several months later, Shelly responded with a sad update.

Thank you for the kind words everyone! This is my post of my grandparents and I am sad to say that my ‘Papaw’ passed away about 3 weeks after this video. My grandmother is lost without him please remember her in your prayers.”

But a love so strong surpasses time and space—they will one day be together again, in a loving embrace.
