A Prisoner At A Maximum Security Prison Killed His Entire Family When They Went To Visit Him

Ex-mexican police officer Domingo Villa Arellano, 40, killed his family with a piece of sharpened wire during their prison visit recently. His girlfriend Isela, 36, and his two children, 4-year-old Angel,1-year-old Valeria were all killed at the scene. His third daughter 17-year-old daughter Erika managed to escape but later died due to injury complications.

Villa Arellano was jailed at maximum security prison Puente Grande in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2006 after murdering his wife in a domestic dispute.

Even considering his violent history, no one suspected that his family would be at risk during their visit. However, when Villa’s children began to complain about how unkind Isela was to them, something broke inside Villa. He stabbed Isela and Angel to death, strangled Valeria, and injured Erika to the point where she was unsaveable.

According to The Daily Mail, the State Attorney General Luis Najera claims that all guards were busy during the incident. However, they did make it to the scene in time to tackle Villa to the ground before he could turn the weapon on himself.

After the incident, a search of the prison revealed that there were over 50 liters of tequila, 30 assorted blade weapons, and large amounts of drugs there. It is a possibility that Villa’s outburst was due to tequila and/or drugs, however the police investigation is still pending.
