The driver of a pickup truck went airborne and landed on the lower level of the expressway after hitting a divider this weekend. The incident occurred on the I-93 in Massachusetts, near exit 26.
The driver, Vannak Sao, miraculously survived the fall. When police arrived, he was found to be intoxicated. Sao told WHDH-TV:
“I was leaving a friends house and I had a little bit to drink. I was tired, and I hit a snow bank and apparently I fell down to the first ramp,” he told the news station of the incident. “I just remember hitting a snow bank and woke up to the sound of the paramedics or the EMTs or whoever it was pulling me out of the truck.”
He also told reporters that he is grateful to be alive, and feels irresponsible.
In addition to breaking his nose, Sao was charged with DUI and had his license suspended.
